The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the notification for the UGC NET June 2025 exam. The test will be conducted in Computer-Based Mode (CBT) for 85 subjects, aiming to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor roles.
Application Dates and Fee
Interested candidates can apply online from 16th April 2025 to 7th May 2025 at ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The application fee is:
- General: ₹1150
- EWS/OBC-NCL: ₹600
- SC/ST/PwD: ₹325
Fees can be paid via Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or UPI. The last date for fee payment is 8th May 2025.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories). Students awaiting final year results or with delayed results can also apply, but they must meet the criteria within two years of the result declaration.
Age Limit
- JRF: Must be under 30 years as of 1st June 2025
- Assistant Professor/PhD: No upper age limit
