OPSC VAS Eligibility Criteria 2025

The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has announced 506 vacancies for Veterinary Assistant Surgeon/Additional Veterinary Assistant Surgeon posts. The online application window is active from July 1 to July 31, 2025. Interested candidates must check their eligibility before applying to avoid disqualification at any stage.

Educational Qualification

To be eligible for the OPSC VAS 2025 exam, candidates must:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
  • Possess a Registration Certificate under the Odisha Veterinary Practitioners Act, 1970 (Section 21).
  • Have valid conversion certificates recognized by the Veterinary Council of India if the degree is from a foreign university.

Age Limit

As of January 1, 2025, candidates must fall within the following age range:

Required Documents

Candidates must produce original and photocopies of the following during document verification:

  • H.S.C. Certificate
  • All academic certificates and mark sheets
  • Registration Certificate
  • Caste, Disability, and Odia Test Pass Certificate (if applicable)
  • Four passport-size photos
  • Valid ID proof
