The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced the postponement of the SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2025 Tier 1 examination. Initially scheduled from August 13 to 30, 2025, the exam will now be conducted in the first week of September 2025. This decision follows directions from the Supreme Court to implement reforms in the Computer-Based Examination process.
Reason for SSC CGL 2025 Exam Postponement
As per the official notice, the postponement comes after the Supreme Court advised SSC to introduce key reforms in how Computer-Based Examinations (CBEs) are conducted. This follows operational challenges reported during the SSC Selection Post Phase 13 exam held from July 24 to August 1 at 194 centres.
These issues included:
- Login failures and server crashes
- Questions not loading properly
- Last-minute cancellations at certain exam centres
In light of these problems and candidate protests, the court directed SSC to re-conduct the Selection Post exam and then proceed with the CGL exam under the new system.
